Account Manager


Tonnessen Studio is seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Account Manager to work with clients in luxury lifestyle brands.

The Social Media Account Manager’s role entails project management, digital content creation, developing reach strategies, research, and reporting. The role reports to the Creative Director & Founder, Christie Tonnessen, and straddles both beautiful storytelling and insights analysis. Armed with a passion for lifestyle brands and interior design, and the ability to conceptualize content that supports brand awareness, the right candidate will thrive in our creative and entrepreneurial environment.

Account Management:

  • Proactive management of multiple client social media accounts, ensuring content meets Tonnessen Studio standards and is efficiently published using digital tools.

  • Define cohesive social media strategies inclusive of brand-driving and growth-driving initiatives, with direction from the Creative Director.

  • Management of monthly content calendars from concept to execution, sourcing and organizing imagery, prepping
    content with appropriate tags and/or copy, and handling daily publication.

  • Concept social-first content and develop plans for brand engagement in real-time cultural conversations that reinforce

  • Managing high-level community management strategy on behalf of clients, advising on engagement best practices, public-facing comment responses, keyword identification for comment filters, and any other responses from the community.

  • Providing administrative support for our client portfolio, crafting bi-weekly agendas and meeting recaps, saving and
    organizing client assets, and keeping track of weekly tasks.

  • Producing monthly client reports, collecting key takeaways and leveraging those insights to inform the team’s creative and strategic decisions moving forward.

  • Identify and evolve a distinct brand voice and aesthetic that is authentic and consistent across all social platforms.

  • Stay abreast of new platforms/technological advances and implement best practices.

  • Support with special projects across: brand marketing, website development, e-mail marketing, experiential marketing, and paid marketing.


  • NY or CT based - this role is a hybrid of remote and in person (CT).

  • At least 2 years of experience in social media, content creation and account management.

  • Ability to balance left-brain / right-brain thinking, both a natural creative and an analytic thinker.

  • A discerning eye and strong aesthetic sensibility.

  • A strong understanding of social media KPIs and ability to develop activity reports.

  • A robust knowledge of social media platforms at large - particularly Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • An impeccable attention to detail.

  • Passion for and knowledge of lifestyle, interior and luxury brands.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Copywriting experience.

  • Proficiency in Canva, with Photoshop and InDesign being a plus.

  • Experience with paid ad marketing and/or website development, a plus.
